Coding!

Laura from Corrib Kids Coding came to the school on the 28th of February to do a coding workshop with the children in the Senior Room. It was a great success. Pupils used Lego to build amusement park rides and then they had to program them to function. It was a very practical and ‘hands on’ workshop which all of the pupils thoroughly enjoyed.

Coding

The pupils in the Senior Room had a whole day of coding on the 30th of November. The session was facilitated by the people from Tech Steps. First of all the pupils got to use Lego WeDo. They built lego cars and created code to allow them to control the cars and programme them to move. Later in the day they used Microsoft Makecode Arcade to create their own mazes. It was a very worthwhile day and a great introduction to the world of coding.

Coding with Tech Steps.

On Wednesday the 30th of November we are very excited that the people from Tech Steps will spend most of the day in the Senior Room teaching the pupils about coding. Check back here in a couple of days to see how they got on.
