Under 19 County Champions!

We were thrilled to welcome past pupils Luke and Rory with their team mates Cian, Darragh and Luke of the U19 Killannin team to the school today. Congratulations to them and to the rest of the team on winning the County Championship! We were very grateful that they took the time to visit and to answer questions. They are such wonderful role models for the junior sportspeople in our school and in the club.

Book Fair.

We are hosting a Book Fair on Friday the 1st of December. Parents are welcome to visit the school throughout the day to buy books. The books will remain in the school until the 8th of December if pupils want to buy books next week. Please click here to see what titles will be available to buy at the Fair.

Cineáltas.

in November we received our Cineáltas flag from the Department of Education in acknowledgement of the good work that the school is doing to prevent and address bullying. It also acknowledges the work that is being done to promote kindness, respect, inclusion, diversity and wellbeing in the school.

It is the hope of Norma Foley TD that the Cineáltas flag will serve as a visible national symbol of our shared responsibility to be kind and to work together to prevent and address bullying.

Halloween Art Competitions.

Congratulations to Patrick in Senior Infants who won first prize in the Halloween Colouring Competition run by DNG.
We also had winners in both categories in the Aughnanure Castle Halloween Art Competition. Mickolaj (1st Class) won 1st prize in the Junior Competition and Kaori (5th Class) won 1st prize in the Senior Competition. Congratulations to both of them. Take a look at the winning artworks below. A number of other children in the school were highly commended for their artistic skill. Well done everyone 👏.
