We held our annual Christmas play on Thursday the 14th of December at 7pm and it was a great success. There are many future stars of stage and screen in our midst if the level of acting talent on display was anything to go by. All of the pupils performed brilliantly on the night. As always we were delighted to welcome parents and grandparents and it was especially lovely to see so many of our past pupils back in the school for the occasion. The Christmas atmosphere was enhanced by the addition of Christmas lights to the holly tree in front of the school and we are very grateful to Pamela from the Parents Association for organising them. The Parent’s Association, held a raffle on the night and we would like to thank the following for sponsoring prizes;

Supervalu, Moycullen, Supermacs, Matt O’Flaherty Pharmacy, Sweeny Oil, Wildlands, Galway Cakery, Brigit’s Garden, Moycullen Bookshop, Standúns, Justin Keogh, Henry Keogh and Sullivan’s.

All in all it was a great evening. Well done everyone!

Our Parents Committee are hosting a Book swap fundraiser which will take place in the school on Saturday the 21st of October from 10am – 1pm. Why not come along? You can bring some books that you have read and would like to share with others and have tea or coffee and a chat.

In the heat and sunshine of the 30th of May the pupils got a lovely surprise when the ice-cream van arrived at the school. Everyone was treated to an ice-cream cone thanks to the generosity of the Parent’s Committee. It was a delicious treat!

Thanks to everyone who turned out to Walk the Line on Sunday the 19th of June! Thanks also to the Parent’s Committee for organising the event and to everyone, including many who were not able to join us on the day, who contributed so generously to this fundraiser.
