Music this autumn.

Music for Galway Outreach Programme

At the end of September and for the month of October we are taking part in a progamme of music put together by Music for Galway in conjunction with award-winning classical pianist Cathal Masterson . Cathal has put together lesson plans which work alongside a playlist of iconic music connected with childhood and involves the children responding to the music through movement, art and poetry. The programme culminates with a livestreamed concert on November 4th where some of the children’s artwork and poetry will be showcased.

GAA football gear!

On Wednesday 29th of September we were delighted to accept a gear bag full of training gear (footballs, training bibs and training cones) which was presented to our school by Killannin Football Club. The gear was presented on behalf of the club by Mark Carr and Pat Queally and gratefully accepted by the pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th class. After the presentation Mark and Pat had a word with pupils about the importance of sport and staying active.

Thanks very much to Killannin Football Club.
